Nickolas did so great this morning.
I got up at 4:45am, yes, in the morning, and we got to the surgery center at 5:20. It went very smoothly, checked in, met with the nurse, anesthesiologist and doctor. They explained how everything would work. The doctor forewarned me that they may not be able to remove the adenoids because he may not be able to get an IV in Nick's chubby little arm, leg or any area on him (it's just muscle man).
They took him and he didn't even cry. My grandmother and I waited for hardly 15 minutes and doctor came in and was done. Said he didn't take the adenoids out because they looked great. They took all the infection out of the ears-which was a lot.
At that point, the nurse was wheeling him out and he was screaming. It took a good 10-15 minutes for him to come out of it, and he was not happy. He is really strong! Wouldn't stay still. It was rough getting him home, getting him settled. Took about 2 hours for him to get down to sleep, but now he is doing great. Played after his nap, ate a good lunch, drinking lots of water. Laid down for his afternoon nap with no problems.
It was tough to see him like that, but I know the whole procedure will be worth it.
(Side Note: I think that picture is supposed to be a poodle of some sort, but it's a little "deer-like". Maybe it's some kind of deer dog?)

Garrick is doing so much better since his were put in on Tuesday. He's sleeping through the night more, talking LOTS more, and has a general improvement in attitude.
