Review: Houlihan's

Last night I met up with Jennifer and Nikki and we tried a new restaurant, Houlihan's, off of Beltline. I was pretty impressed!

The atmosphere was really nice. Open, good amount of people and not too loud, and the food was great. I got steak (of course-I've been craving it every day for weeks), shrimp and a baked potato. Then for dessert I got Creme Brule which was pretty much the only option without chocolate. Jen got pecan pie so I tried that for the first time, and I have to say it was delicious! I would definitely go back again.

Afterwards we stopped by Barnes and Nobles across the street and I picked up a book on meals for kids. It has some great and simple ideas on how to make ordinary food fun and presentable for kids. There's one idea in there where they cut up a banana the way you would tpically cut it, but then used the little pretzel sticks to make legs, and raisins for eyes, and poof you have a caterpillar!

Even if I only do one a week it will be fun for everyone.

Great night with good food and 2 of my closest friends!

Just for the record...this picture shows that I had more than pecan pie for the dessert!! LOL!
